A dated penthouse apartment needed a complete makeover to bring it into the 21st century and provide the owners with an entertainer’s kitchen. Working with the clients’ interior designer, InterConstruct totally transformed the kitchen within the constraints of the existing plumbing, layout and a major structural column.
The kitchen renovation included:
- Wrapping the existing structural column in stone and extending it to create a pantry
- A mirror panel in the pantry addition to reflect light and help the area look bigger
- A mirror splashback behind the main worktop area to reflect light and allow the owners to interact with guests while preparing meals
- New appliances, custom-made cabinetry and stone benchtops
- Changing the flooring throughout the penthouse to give the apartment a more streamlined and spacious look

So she made her selection and asked us to design a new kitchen around her upgraded fridge. The client is absolutely thrilled with her new kitchen space, and the InterConstruct team is proud of the results too.
